Just merge Maps and Waze already...

Maps is superior at everything except reporting and the accompanying userbase (and maybe traffic).

Google owns both so it's bound to happen anyway.

Haven't used Waze in a long time but hear it's getting an update with AI
Hmm I'll have to look into that. In the this case of Google not having merged yet**, it likely will be a at worst a pointless one, not a destroy the whole app.

** Based on the premise that Bard Pro and Gemini Pro are the dumbest AI I've used to date.

I'm not on the AI train yet and definitely don't like in 2 years there will be a subscription charge

I've been using OpenAI and even the free version "whips the Google's ass" (Gold Star if you know the quote I altered).

I don't foresee a forced subscription, only basic maybe more basic than nows free version. They are all competing for dominance and Google as a Search engine in itself is in danger of being replaced.

I do fact check if something seems off but it's like Google'ing Google. The magic feeling we all had when Google first came about and we were in awe
