Ive held on to my Epic 4G for a year and a half now and it is my baby but there is a time when we all need to move on. My upgrade is in October and the though actually popped into my head to see what the iPhone 5 had to offer, but now im hearing rumors of the newest Nexus device on the way as well. Which device would you choose?

I'd wait for the new Nexus or the Galaxy Note II

The iPhone5 is just a iPhone4/4S on Viagra, it looks like the iPhone4 has a boner :) Oh wow, it now has another row of app icons LOL

The next Nexus will be a much cooler and better phone.

I have not seen much about the nexus, but we already know about the iphone. It will be an iphone. The same thing they have been selling for years now. If you value form over function then go for it.

The nexus is still up in the air though. It will be a decent phone, there is not doubt. The thing I am waiting on is whether or not it will have the Samsung associated issues or not

I swore off Apple products two years ago after having 3 iPhone's and the only revolutionary thing offered in 3 years was a case change and a much nicer screen.

Personally between the two, I would choose the nexus, unless it is made by Motorola, as I despise their devices as well.

But when all is said and done, it will ultimately be your choice, so choose wisely.

If you think about it odds are it will have the same a5x cores but probably under clocked to 800mhz or 1ghz and those are based on the older a9 architecture where as phones that have been out for months have newer a15esque cores which will mop the floor with the next iPhone before its launched.

There are rumors of qualcomm finally fixing lte compatibility issues. So its safe to bet that the next nexus will be quad core, keep the 4.6 - 5" screen, 720p, (a 5 inch 1080p screen has been made by the way, dont expect it for a year or two) probably cpu at 1.5 -2 GHz, made by samsung, a quad core gpu, and a 3300 mhz battery. (hopefully)

It will be by samsung, and motorola's changed my phone life. My OG DROID was insane when it came out. I loved it. It looked bad*ss too.

I'd go with the iPhone 5, rumors are it will have a bigger 4 inch screen, a revolutionary and unprecedented move by Apple, giving it the largest screen of any smartphone. Everything else will be the same as previous versions.

Nexus for me. While it's nice to have the biggest app market and fancy look, I can simply do more with android phones. I'm not even talking about rooting. There are so many you can't do this in this eco-system rules with Apple's.

Wait what?

Rumors? Have you heard of the Snapdragon S4 (Krait)? Already has built-in lte support. Qualcomm figured that out a while ago.

While I like how the iPhone 5 looks, I won't be buying another apple device unless I need for Design school.

I would wait for the next Nexus device. iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 2 will most likely come out during the same period. So they might have similar hardware as far as SoC and RAM. I have not heard much of the next Nexus device so it will probably be superior to the Note 2 and iPhone 5.

Just what I think.

Having a 4" screen will not make the iPhone 5 the largest screen of any smartphone. I believe the Galaxy Note is 5.5" and that is still a phone. It may have the longest screen because the rumor is the screen width has not been altered at all. Just stretched. I guess it will have a higher pixel density (PPI).

If you have an apple device you should try iOS6 Beta if it's out yet and you'll have a hint of what it will be like on the iPhone 5 minus the hardware and fluidity.

Even the now Galaxy Nexus or the iPhone 5 or maybe they will just call it "new iPhone" or whatever they come up with in the future, I would still choose the Galaxy Nexus. Not just because I like Android but for the reasons I like Android. ROMS, no itunes, google music > Itunes, drag/drop files to my device and view it easily, easily backup/restore entire device without the need of a PC, and widgets.

Cant wait for the new Nexus!!! if they release it today I would buy it right now.
Would love an s4 with 2 GB ram.
