Next?

I am still fairly new to Android as the Inspire is my first Android phone. I am coming from Blackberry but not looking to go back. I selected the Inspire on an impulse and i like it a lot. I have not flashed it, been thinking about, but nervous. I am not 100% sure what rooting the phone will do, even after reading some and not sure ROM to use (hope that make sense). I am always looking for new things to do with my Inspire, but since it is so much offered, I do not knw where to start.

I have an upgrape and was thinking of getting the Vivid, since I already have a HTC. But I saw the Atrix 2 and now somewhat intrigued. I knw the UI is different for both companies, but wondering wht else.
