Nexus 10 Google icon missing from screen.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you uninstall or disable Chrome, or did you just remove the shortcut from the homescreen? Bring up the App Drawer--is Chrome there? If not, go to Settings>Apps>All--do you see it there? If it's disabled, it'd be in the Settings>Apps>Disabled​ list.

My answer is no Google is not disabled and is working fine when I get into it. Just the icon is missing from the screen which I inadvertently swiped off by mistake. I simply want to put the icon back, Google Chrome is there.

Do you mean the Google search app? It should be in your app drawer, find it there, tap & hold on it and drag it to your home screen.
