Hey everyone! As it feels like since the dawn of time having the iPhone 3G to now a 4s, I admittingly very much respect the android/Google/Jelly bean platform..ect, and have decided to pop my cherry with a nexus 4 which I'm getting in a couple hours.. Even though I'm due for an updrade with AT&T and was going to wait for the gS4 or HTC one, I've decided I'm going all out "hard" with stock android : )

Based on my reviews I have been reading one of the only downfalls with the nexus 4 is battery life/non removable .. Ect.. My question to all of you is... Since the phone is easily separated from the rest of the phone by removing the two Torx T4 bits at bottom and prying up with a plastic separator tool or guitar pick. Underneath is a 2100 mAh 3.8V battery (8.0 Whr) battery and the numerous antenna connector springs required to connect to the inductive antenna coil for NFC, wireless charging, cellular diversity, and WLAN/BT. wouldn't it be easy to just pop in let's say a 3500 mAh????

I asked this before too and got the idea shot down

Lol!! Why did you get shot down..? It seems as equally logicall to just put in a stronger battery along with all the battery saving apps/managers.. Or maybe people just like complaining about a sh*ty battery. Just because it isn't manufactured with a intentionally removable backing doesn't mean it can't be done..right??

The thing is, many have reported greatly improved battery life in 4.2.2. So I don't believe that's an issue anymore. I wasn't getting those results when I updated mine to 4.2.2, not sure if it was my fault or not or maybe I messed something up. Either way, I rooted and just changed the kernel. Left everything else stock. Franco Milestone 1 has me feeling much more secure in my daily battery life. Thing idles beautifully and it feels like I could reach >4hrs on time if I wanted (I don't use it that much anyway).

So my point is that if you don't get great life out the box, there's another way to accomplish it without all the work of popping in a new battery.

Can you get a higher capacity battery that offers NFC and would fit in the space of the old battery?
