Hello everyone,

I recently got my Google Nexus 4 and all went fine for a couple of days, but at some point I guess I did something wrong and I cannot place calls anymore.

At first, I could call from my phone without any issues. Now I try to place a call through the normal Phone app (the blue phone on the main screen) and when I press to call any contact something weird happens. It looks like the call is about to start for 1 second, then the screen flashes white briefly and I'm back to the initial contact list. It does this for any phone number.

Funny thing is that I can place a call by starting to write a message to a number, then pressing on the phone button on the top right corner. You might imagine it's quite annoying to start a message any time you want to place a call.. Furthermore, I cannot call landlines, as for landline numbers the phone button does not show up when you start to write a message to that number.

My guess is that I installed some app that messed things up - I uninstalled everything that looked potentially trouble making and still no luck.

Any chance someone is aware of this issue? I really don't want to do a master reboot of my phone..

Looking forward to hear from you!

Could it be you accidentally pressing something before your proximity sensor kicks in. Um if not you might have to do a reset but get a program like wondershare for android and back your apps up.

Factory reset iy bruv, and install apps sequentially and check which one makes the phone app crash...
