Nexus 4 "chopping off" on left side of screen

Is this happening to anyone else? Is this how it's supposed to look? This happens in youtube, gmail, and play music (possibly in other apps too...) Thanks!

I'm not sure I can see what you're talking about.

On the left side of the screen, it seems that the three lines that you tap to get to the menu are cut off.

Okay, I see that. Has it always been that way or did this just happen recently?

That's completely normal. YouTube looks exactly the same as that on my Nexus 4.

The three bars touch the edge of the screen to let you know there is a menu there if you swipe. Many apps are like this.
