A couple of days ago, I got a little bit of water in the headphone jack on my Nexus 4. The phone seemed to be working fine for a while, until (about 30 minutes later) the device froze while opening a folder and crashed. I was then completely unable to turn it back on. A couple of hours later, after trying desperately to get the device to power up, I decided to disassemble it to see if it was caused by water damage. I found a couple of drops worth of water inside, but none of it had appeared to get anywhere near the motherboard. One of the things I tried after reading in to this some more was holding down power and volume down, then plugging the device in. What I got then was a red LED that flashed every 15 seconds or so. From what I'd read, this appeared to be some kind of battery fault, and so I ordered a replacement. I left my device in a relatively warm room for the two days or so before the battery arrived to make sure it had completely dried out. So, today the replacement battery has arrived, but after installing it I still get the same red LED. It's also probably worth noting that I get the same LED with no battery installed. If anyone who knows more about this could give me some suggestions as to what to do now, it would be greatly appreciated - I currently cannot afford a new phone, and would really prefer not to have to go back to my original Blackberry Pearl...
