I ordered a pair of Nexus 4 headphone last Thursday and they just came in the mail. I did not have any problems with my order and I ordered the headset along with a N7 charger, mine broke... I will post pictures of the headphones along with a preliminary review and first impressions.
The build on the headphones is very good, I'd say a 7/10. There are in fact made of machined aluminum, as you can feel the texture and the weight of the metal, these are not heavy headphones by the way.
They fit in my ears just fine and many headphones do not. I attribute the fit to the double rib of rubber that is on the in-ear bit. In addition to the smallish rubber pieces that come on the headphones there are also two extra ear pieces. One conventional set and another smaller set.
The flat rubber cable is of very high quality and the inline button only features one button. No rocker like what is seen on Apple headsets. The jack is also of high quality.
Preliminary impression of audio quality. Note, the audio was tested on an iPod classic and listening to the various Raconteurs songs, I am very familiar with the tunes.
The highs are fairly crisp. I'd say a 7/10. They are not tinny but not monitor quality.
The mid-range is good. I could hear everything I was used to hearing in the tune. 5/10
The lows are there but only. Bass is existent but is shallow. 5/10
I will give a better review in the coming months after I use them, I can say that I do like them and for 20 dollars their's not much to go wrong.
Thanks
