Nexus 4 or HTC One?

What do you guys think? Is the One worth upgrading from the Nexus 4? From the reviews, it seems like Sense 5 is almost as good as stock and the camera, screen and build is much better than on the N4. I read Alex's post and he said One.

Specifically focusing on camera for me. I think the N4 is fantastic but lack of LTE on ATT hurts me. The camera also seems much better on the One. I'll be eligible in April to upgrade and not upgrading when eligible with a contract plan is kinda pointless.

Anyone thinking about making the switch?

I would go with the one because the N4 is last gen and the One is newer. However, a new, better phone will be out after the One. I would rather have the One but it isn't out yet. The N4 is tested and has a good following. I'm on Verizon social don't get the choice but it's all up to you. Sense annoys me and stock Android is clean. Either way you're making a good decision

While I don't own a nexus 4 personally I would say go for it. Sure you could wait for the next great phone but that's exactly what you would be doing waiting. The fact is the next best thing is always right around the corner.

HTC's offering looks to be a pretty good 1 at that and you always have your return window if you decide otherwise.

I should say, I'm not waiting for anything like the N5. I'm fine with the N4. I just didn't know if anyone was considering replacing their N4 with the One.

I thought about it briefly. I love the design but with battery life being reported as similar, I'm just going to wait.

How often do you want to be switching phones? Because whatever device you get, today's latest and greatest will become less than cutting edge in less than 3 months. I have the Nexus 4, and am hanging onto it. Though I'm impressed by the One, I am a fan of Nexus devices, not least because they get the updates right away. A few months (maybe less) down the line when Google releases an update to Android, including even Android 5.0, will you be regretting the decision to switch phones, because I can guarantee you that 5.0 isn't coming to the One for at least 6 months after release.

I get new devices regularly, but am hoping my next phone will be the last new one I get for last least a little while. By regularly, I mean every 3-4 months.

Good point about 5.0 though.

I have and keep rereading it! I'm OK with swapping phones after only a few months use, so perhaps I shouldn't make a big deal out of it. I could just upgrade to the One and keep the N4 too.

Thanks for the great stuff Phil. If you had to pick one as your daily phone, what would you pick? Obviously everyone is different.
