Nexus 4: Red Warning Sign In Messages

Anyone know how to get rid of that red warning icon next to a chat in the messaging app. I switched off my mobile phone earlier and switched it back on to get a message saying that a text I sent didn't actually send or something.

Any ideas?

If I recall correctly, you can tap&hold on the message then select Resend (or simply delete it).

Agreed with N4Newbie but what happens when you see this icon next to a conversation and inside that conversation no message experienced an error in sending. What does the sign indicate in such a case?

The message failed to send. Most likely because the phone has a poor connection. Usually works after a couple of attempts though
