Nexus 4 screen acting up

I'm looking at a nexus 4 on eBay and the seller says the screen "acts up". It actives (presses) whatever is on the screen in the area where the "asdf" keys would be on the keyboard. He says it only does it sometimes and you can stop it for a while by turning the screen off and on. He also said that it seems to happen more when the battery is low. Could it be something wrong with the glass or digitizer that's causing this malfunction and a replacement can fix it?

Sounds like a problem with the digitizer. It would likely require replacement of the whole screen/digitizer assembly.
