So glad I bought 2 last Friday! (1 for me and 1 for my wife) Usually I wait and always loose out... can't wait for them to come! Il be glad to ditch the iPhone 4

Oh man, that's rough. If you had bought it a week later, you could have claimed price protection to get the difference refunded back to you. I bought one on 15 Aug and was able to get the difference refunded.
Actually, have you tried to claim price protection? You're not eligible as per the terms (i.e., the purchase date needs to be within 15 days of the price drop). But it doesn't hurt to try. Perhaps they'll feel your pain and will cut you some slack!

I'm lucky I got one. How could anyone resist such a great deal for what I'd consider a very relevant phone even if its almost a year old
