Hi everyone,

I have searched the internets for similar Nexus 4 touch screen issues but haven't been able to find anyone with this problem. Hoping someone may know what the issue is and any way to fix it without sending it back to Google/LG. Purchased a sealed 8gb phone from Craigslist so I don't think warranty applies.

The bottom right of my screen where the virtual buttons are located is constantly being activated even though I am not touching the screen. Only this area of the screen is broken. I have not dropped the phone and there is no water damage. I have factory reset the phone and the issue was still present immediately after factory reset to default settings. When I rotate the screen, the problem still persists and remains at the bottom right of the screen. This problem persists on everr app I have tried that has an Option button at the bottom right of the screen.

I recorded a video to show what's going on on WhatsApp and Youtube but is also on every app that utilizes the bottom right of the screen.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you using a screensaver of any kind? Not software, but the plastic film thing lots of people use to protect against scratches.

If you are using one, remove it and test again.

As far as the warranty goes, although you probably won't be able to get help from Google, you can get service directly from LG (the phone's manufacturer). Start here: LG Support USA: Customer Service and Technical Support | LG USA

PS: The Nexus 4 model number is LGE960.

N4Newbie - not using any screen protection. I am using a hard plastic shell casing but removed it and the problem still persisted. Thanks - I will contact LG Canada Support as a last resort.

Regards
