When ever I use my GROM audio Bluetooth in my car. The other person can hear them selvs echoing back really bad. I have had the grom for 2 years and no problems. I have also tested it again with my old galaxy nexus and my wife's s3. Seems like either a KitKat issue or nex5. Please help. I live in a state where it illegal to not use a hands free devise in the car and the echo is making it useless for me.

I have the same problem with my Parrott handsfree and Nexus 5. My girlfriend said it sounded like I was talking in a tunnel. She sounded fine from my end. I don't think we can do anything to fix it though. Google will need to fix their Bluetooth drivers.

I'm suffering the same thing with my rooted HTC one on 4.3. Very annoying, this needs to be sorted.

I use the blue parrot headset while driving and have not experienced this problem thankfully. It works just as good as it did on the nexus 4.

I have the same problem with my GROM car kit and Nexus5. Phonecalls sound fine to me, but other end complains
What is more annoying for me is bluetooth audio quality with the podcasts and audio books I listen to. They have a strange echo sound and just don't sound clear. Plug it in with a Aux plug in my car and it sounds perfect. I got the 32gb so I could replace my ipod.. might not be able to get rid of it so quick

I too have the echo problem when making a call over Bluetooth. I've spoken to Grom, who say that it's a problem with their Bluetooth dongle and the Qualcomm chip used in the Nexus 5. The only way to solve this is to buy a new dongle, although I think they would actually swap one out if you're still under warranty. I'm not, so in going to have to buy a new one, that's if they ever get released. I was told there'd be a new version in about a month, but that was about a month ago.....
