Nexus 5 ordered just yesterday.....

Nexus 5 16GB ordered just yesterday but Google has charged me already. I thought you only get charged once they are getting ready to ship the device? I checked the Google play store and the status of my order is pending with "leaving warehouse in 3-4 weeks."

Has Google changed their ordering process or will my device really ship in the next day or so?

Anybody else ordered within the last few days and already got charged for the device?

It's not the same. But when I ordered mine from Sprint. I was charged immediately but the device wouldn't ship for a while.

OK, I found out what happen. Apparently Google places an authorization hold in the amount due on your credit card but doesnt fully take the money until the device is shipped. I just spoke with Google Customer service.

Damn, Google got my hopes up and then shot it back down, LOL I guess I'll wait the 3-4 weeks.

I currently have a galaxy S4 so my wait wont be too terrible.....lol

So why are you going to the Nexus 5 from the Gs4... I also made the leap but my Gs4 is at Samsung getting repaired because it wouldn't turn on. I think your going to love the Nexus 5.

I'm making the leap because I'm a flagship phone junkie. Plus I'm on a prepaid plan (go phone) so I'm not breaking the bank. I may sell my gs4 if I really like the N5. This would be my second android phone. I want to see how smooth a pure android phone is like.
