Hi all, new to the forum. Was hoping someone had insight into an issue I'm currently having with my N5. I did some searching but didn't find my exact issue.

It will randomly crash, normally when I'm switching inbetween apps or opening apps. It shuts down without any notification, screen just goes blank. About 50% of the time I have to boot it up connected to the USB power cord or it will just crash again in the same fashion once the OS is loaded. Battery charge is at the same percent pre and post crash. I've downgraded to Kitkat as well as upgraded to the newest Lollipop 5.1, factory resets, and clearing cache. Currently on 5.1 and rooted. Same problem. I bought a battery from a questionable eBay seller and after installing am having the same problem, maybe more frequent. I'm thinking it's a hardware issue somewhere, perhaps I got a bad battery. My warranty is expired so I can't RMA it.

I'm pretty open to advice and help on what I should do next. Let me know if you need any more clarification/information. Thanks.
