Nexus 5 with Verizon pay-as-you-go?

I ordered a N5 for my wife. She currently has Verizon Pay as you go with no data. She really does not need data at this point (she has access to WIFI most of the time) and has unused minutes stacked up. I know that data can be turned off in the N5, but was wondering if Verizon is going to get picky about activating this new phone on her account.

It's all over the tech blogs, news and so on.....

The Nexus 5 will not work on Verizon today, tomorrow or anytime in the near future.....

The nexus 5 doesnt support any verizon bands so you wont get any voice calls. It does have Band 4 but Verizon doesn't have anything with Band 4 until next year. You can use it on T-mobile, sprint, Att(and att prepaid which has 2gb of LTE speed and unlimited speed. I can't remember if its unlimited or not). Hope this helps.

Oh well, I'll just have to use my new spare ST/ATT/LTE sim. Bye bye Verizon! I wasn't really concerned if it did not, but thought for the time being we'd use up her accrued minutes.
