Nexus 5 won't boot, stuck on google logo screen
A week ago my nexus 5 phone went into a boot loop.
I popped the back panel off that the issue was fixed.
A few days my nexus 5 began randomly freezing after a few hours of use, and then rebooting. Sometimes the reboot would succeed, and sometimes it would be stuck on the google logo (not in a boot loop).
I was running the latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
The phone seems to work fine for a few hours.
Then the phone freezes. Then it fails to boot for a random amount of time ( 10 minutes or 10 hours, or a day)
Things i have tried:
Wiping cache
Resetting to factory defaults
Installing twrp (has a custom recovery menu with touch screen)
Install CyanogenMod
Playing with power button (does not seem to be issue since phone is not in boot loop)
CPU temperature seems to be fine (between 40-65 celsius)
Battery is charged and seems to work ok.
Again i want to make it clear, phone is not stuck in boot loop.
I can try to power it on 10 times and it will be stuck on google loading screen. Then randomly on the 11th time it will manage to boot (reaches the moving balls, optimizies apps, and works). If i manage to boot it usually works for a few hours until freezing again. Then it might fail to bot for a few hours or even a day. Then suddenly it will succeed in booting.
Yesterday i unlocked the phone, installed twrp and cyanogen mod (i though maybe the issue was with the lollipop 5.1.1 update). That did not help. Phone worked for a couple hours and then freeze again and now it isn't booting.
Not sure why boot recovery menu works fine. But still it fails to boot.
Not sure why fails to boot for few hours, then randomly succeeds.
I have read many threads but not found an answer.
Is it failure to read boot rom?
Is it failures in RAM? (boot recovery menu would also fail if i had RAM issues?)
Is it failures in flash access? Motherboard?
Please help!
