Nexus 5 won't Power Off... Stuck at Robot w/winding gear
All of a sudden one morning it did not want to start. After a bunch of different things I tried it finally booted up. I thought about doing a factory reset just in case something was wrong and I believe that was my mistake because it never recovered. Or when it does, it just hangs there with the Android robot and what looks like a winding gear but it won't move from there.
I tried Recovery mode to no avail. I tried factory reset as well but nothing. I also tried the Nexus Root Toolkit and it unlock the phone but it did not finish starting either.
Now when I do a Power Down + Volume Down and try to Power Off, it just reboots and I am back at the Robot with the winding gear so I can't do any flashing or recovery mode whatsoever.
Is this a hardware issue or am I better off throwing it away? I don't want to walk from this challenge but I don't know what else to do
