Nexus 5x - Android 6.0.1

I've used LTE Discovery to check every once in a while, and it generally shows me on Band 4, but I have seen Band 12 show up a couple times since the 6.0.1 update.

How do you know you are on Band 12 or how do you switch on the phone's capability to connect to Band 12? I used the Signal Check check app and it always shows a B4 so I'm assuming that's for Band 4 correct?

Correct. That is Band 4.

Thank you that was very helpful, but unfortunately it does not look like there's any band 12 in my area, Chicago. Do you know of any reports when it will come to Chicago? It's a major city so I'm wondering what's the hold up.

Not sure if this is the result of the 6.0.1 but my 5X now refuses to sync one of my Outlook.com e-mail accounts. The other 2 accounts on that domain work just fine so I doubt the problem is on Microsoft's end. However, since it won't sync it is causing a huge drain on my battery. I realize this could also be a GMail app issue but it wasn't like this before the update.

If you click on the 'radio tower' in the circle, it tells you there's a "protected TV channel 51 station." That evidently conflicts with the 700MHz that Band 12 uses. Luckily, in that case, the station signed an agreement to coexist with Band 12, so it's just waiting build out, I think.
