Nexus 5X calls going directly to voicemail

[AC Question]

Hi, My Nexus 5X calls are going directly to voicemail, without the phone ringing. The phone is not on mute. I immediately get a voicemail message to dial 121. Any suggestions?

You should take this to your carrier.

Definitely take this to your carrier. My SO had the same issue when his line somehow got changed to a tablet line when I upgraded our plan, and his phone calls and pages were going straight to voicemail. I spent 30 minutes on the phone talking with sales and eventually a tier 2 technician to fix it.
