I received my second Nexus 5X today (the first having an issue with recognising my sim card) however, it seems to have stopped charging after a software update. Is there anything I can try to solve it or should I just replace the charger or phone again?

Thanks

just to confirm, ru using the original charger and wire?

Yes I am. I also can't test whether the phone or the charge is the problem as I have no other USB-C cables.
Have you tried another wall outlet? If so, try clearing cache through recovery. Power off the device and hold volume down+power until the screen loads and use volume down to highlight Recovery. Press power to accept and use volume down to highlight clear cache (not erase data).

Reboot and see if that fixes your problem.

I have tried a few wall outlets. Wiping the cache also didn't help. I'll see if I can get a different USB-C charger from the store to see if the phone or the charger is at fault.

I have also had this problem with two nexus 5x phones. The first one stopped charging within a week so I sent it in for a replacement. The new one just stopped charging today after ~2 weeks of use. It seems to be the adapter that's the problem. I used my USB-C cable with the adapter for my friend's nexus 6p charger and this allowed my phone to charge. So it looks like LG adapters might be defective...
