Nexus 5x or HTC A9 as daily driver?

I have both at the moment and have to decide by Friday which one I want to keep. Neither phone is the perfect phone for me, but I'm leaning slightly to the A9 at the moment.

I'm a medium user. I go to school full time and work part time. I use the phone on my commute to and from campus and use it a lot of campus. Rarely use it at work.
For those in this forum, why did you choose the A9? Anyone else who considered the 5X and ultimately decided the A9? What were the deciding factors for you?

I considered the 5X, but it was big and plastic and felt cheap. I've been very pleased with the A9.

Sorry I didn't response sooner. Which one are you keeping?

I had both phones for a few days and decided with the A9. The 5x is a little wider for my hand. I like to be able to handle it with one hand. The 5x has the fingerprint sensor on the back while it save space on the front, but you must pickup the phone to unlock. I can unlock the A9 without having to pick it up. They both have about the same battery life but charging if fast with Quick Charger. The MicroUSB on the A9 actually good since I still have dozens of cable and don't have to carry 2 types of cables everywhere since my other devices are all MicroUSB. The biggest draw back on the 5x for me is the limited storage. After restoring the apps from my previous phone, I have used up about 20Gb. With my music, there are only a few Gb available. Therefore, keeping the A9 was an easy decision for me. I setup my xd card as internal storage and encrypted. It has been over 2 weeks and I'm glad I keeping the A9.

I went with the 5X. Ultimate decider was price. 32GB 5X was $349 for black friday and I got the A9 for $499. The A9 is not worth spending $150 more than the 5X.
I wasn't super fond of either phone. Hopefully next year there are better choices available in the 5" size bracket.

The a9 is such a better buy looking at everything. Not to mention uhoh protection.
