Hello,

I've seen some reviews and videos about charging Nexus 5X rapidly, but when I plug my 1 month old Nexus into the wall, it's only charging, not rapidly. I'm using cable and thing that came with phone. How to make my device charge rapidly?

I only get a quick pop up telling me it's charging rapidly. I don't recall any other indication. How long does it take to charge? I can get roughly 50% charge in 30-40 minutes using the stock charger.

I get roughly 1% a minute. I charge each evening before going to bed and have no trouble running the next day.

I guess we should mention that the charge rate is not linear. As you go above 80% (I believe it's 80%) the charge rate slows. It will charge the fastest from a low percentage up to around 80%.

I haven't run into that problem yet. Both USB C cables that I use work. One is the stock cable that came with the phone and one is a six foot cable I got from Amazon.

Amazon and other big shops doesn't ship to my country. 😐

I think your charging rate (70% in 45 mins) indicates that it is "charging rapidly" so you don't really need a new cable. Do you see "Charging Rapidly" on your lock screen when your phone is charging?

Still, your charging rate indicates that your phone appears to be "charging rapidly". I only see a notification on the lock screen. Nowhere else.

Outside of trying another cable I'm not sure what else you could try. As I mentioned both the stock cable and an aftermarket cable work in my case.

On my 5x from dark screen pressing the power button I see a message saying--- Charging rapidly (11Mins until full) at this time.
