Nexus 6 battery drained

Hi, I've had my Nexus 6 for almost a year now and the battery is drained at a ridiculous speed.
If I am using the phone, I lose about 10% in 5 minutes of browsing chrome.
If the phone is fully charged in the morning and I don't use it all day, I am left with about 20-30% battery left in the evening and usually the phone is empty by the next day and the alarm doesn't go off.
This just started happening about a month ago.
Location services and mobile data are always switched off when I don't need them and I am currently running the latest version of marshmellow available for the Nexus 6.

Re: Nexus 6 battery drained

It's possible, especially if you are a heavy user, that the battery may be deteriorating already and just needs replacement.

Or it may be you installed a rogue app. Is the phone unusually hot?

Re: Nexus 6 battery drained

mine gets very hot in charging ? why ?

Having a metallic body ensures that it dissipates a lot more heat, thereby getting warm during charging or under heavy loads. By very hot, what do you mean? Is it unbearable to hold or just uncomfortable? If the latter, it's fine.

I started having a similar problem a few days ago. Started overheating and drained the battery right after my last Facebook app update. I deleted the Facebook app, replaced it with Metal and the problem went away. Battery life is now back to normal and no overheating. Facebook screwed something up with their last app refresh.

I have had the same issue, which started a month or two ago. I suspect a new update, as I haven't installed any new apps, and used to get a day or two out of one battery charge. Have you found any solutions, or figured anything out as to the cause? I've uninstalled every single app I don't use, and changed syncing to only occur when charging... still having major issues!
