The Nexus 6 has a big battery being 3220 mah but Nexus phones and Motorola don't have a good track record in this department. Will this battery get a heavy user through a full day?

This is my only concern. 6" screen + 2k screen with a 3220 battery. Will the 805 processor and the 220mah put it in line with the g2 battery? I'd be ok with that.

It sounds like the Note 4 is doing pretty well with battery life so far. It's a comparable screen and the same SOC and same battery. Hopefully the Nexus will do at least as well, but like Infinity said, we won't know until it gets released.

These screenshots are from my Note 4. The Nexus 6 has the same resolution screen, the same processor, the same GPU, and the same size battery. The Nexus 6 also has the benefit of running Lollipop which has all the Project Volta goodies so I would expect the same, or better, battery life. If you aren't familiar, Project Volta is a bunch of battery improving changes to Android that supposedly nets you 30% more normal battery life and also introduces power saving modes for when things get really bad.

Software optimization is going to be key here. As long as it lasts through a day comfortably, then I'm good.
