Nexus 6 double tap to wake feature rooted

Okay everyone so for everyone that has their phones rooted here do you the double tap to wake feature? If so, which at the use? The reason I ask is because there is a double tap to wake app in the Google Play Store for double tap the way but its very inconsistent. I've been using the device control app which can also governor CPU speeds and whatnot but I just use it for double tap to wake feature and I find it much more consistent. Has anyone else use this app before? By the way, if you have the developers really friendly and very helpful through email!

It's called device control. It does a few other rooted functions, however I'm just talking about the double tap to wake feature. I swear it works more reliably and consistently, I just wanted to see if anyone else would notice it as well.
