Hey all, I haven't seen this posted yet. If old, my apologies.

Check out this gallery of Nexus 6 shots with HDR+ on Google+. Looks pretty good, although I have questions about the speed since traditionally HDR has been slow (Google apparently recommends it be enabled at all times).

One of my main concerns about the phone is the camera after being burned by the N4 and experiencing the awesomeness of the M7 and iPhone 5s cameras. Thoughts?

they look pretty good to me. I like how he explains each picture and why the hdr looks better. The one thing that worries me is why are they touting the hdr before the actual camera? trying to compensate for something?...

Everyone seems to put more into HDR anymore, it always seems to be something mentioned in every review. I feel if HDR works as fast as regular picture taking, then this is what the camera will stay for me in 99% of the time anyway.

Those pictures look amazing. I really think between the camera and the software of L, the camera will be much improved and will be more than good enough for what I need it for.

This is the same case as with the Moto X, HDR made the photos less grainy. Can't say I'm impressed by those photos, but they are compressed images. Doesn't seem like it's any better than the Moto X in handling low light photos without HDR aid.

I'm not familiar with the Moto X camera, how does it compare with the Nexus 5, HTC One, or Note 4? I love the One M7 camera and it's looking like it doesn't get much better than that on the Android side of things.

Because HDR is a software technique used to mitigate the physical limitations of a smaller sensor (i.e. dynamic range). You simply need HDR to handle extremely high dynamic range scenes ... Even with DSLRs.

It does a good job in good lighting condition, but they don't have good post processing technology so shadow area or low light condition get lots of grains. In a variety of condition I think the M8 camera is going to be better as long as you don't care about megapixel and able to zoom in the photo. There are certainly better camera out there than the Moto X.

Here are some photos by the Moto X with hdr and without.

I've never personally tried a Nexus 4's camera but I heard that it was either good, average or plain out terrible depending on the situation.

However I do personally own a Nexus 5 and I've found that shots are anything but bad, the phone takes pretty good shots but Google's HDR+ technology is different from anything I've used before. It's plain amazing!

Here are some camera samples I've taken with my Nexus 5, a lot of them we're taken with HDR+ enabled: http://imgur.com/a/cpKQZ

And if you like those shots, you're bound to like the Nexus 6's shots as well(especially with HDR+).

I think the first pics were without hdr and the second ones were. The no hdr were less than impressive. If that was the best HDR+. could produce. it looks like another POS camera from Moto

It's odd that the indoor shot in the chapel has such terrible motion blur. Was it taken with OIS off? Strange...

Agree. Not sure if its the camera or just the person taking the photo, because the second with HDR on looks pretty darn good compared to the first.
