Nexus 6 Video Recording: Anyone notice continuous auto focus is no longer working?

In recording mode, Nexus 6 had pretty bad focus hunt issues for months after its release. Many people complained about it but now it seems like it is "sort of" fixed.

It no longer focus hunts however in order to focus on an object up close or from a distance you have to tap to focus.

That's my understanding also. In think it's better than continuous hunting. You can always tap whenever you pan to a new subject.
