Hi.... Wondering if anyone is having random issues with this phone. All has been pretty good until recently.....battery life has gotten worse....microphone has issues picking up what I'm saying. Voice control randomly works if the screen is off....trusted places is hit or miss ....phone slowed down significantly the other day....a reboot fixed the issue but I haven't seen that on an android phone in years ....also headphone volume is subpar....anything before the halfway point is basically unusable. Sounds like I'm complaining... Which I am but I loved this phone and now I really don't. I had none of these issues on my original moto x.

Re: Issues

You're right about the headphone volume sound. It's quite low. Bluetooth headphones will give you better volume levels.

As for the rest, i'm not having the other issues you are experiencing. Was there an app you installed lately causing the performance issue? It doesn't hurt to format the data and rebuild the phone since almost all backup data is stored on the cloud.

I was thinking that.... Maybe it's an app update.... I'm sure the headphone and microphone is a quality control issue.... I also think GPS is subpar on this device...

Not having your issues either. Yeah headphones below mid level are worthless, but plenty loud enough at max. Your other issues I have not seen. The biggest issue I have had was two random reboots within 10 minutes of each other about a month ago while I was using the app "nine" checking exchange email. Have not had that issue since and I use nine all the time. No other reboots either.

Sorry you are having issues, but for me this phone is literally the best nexus/Android/smartphone/phone in general I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

I've been having some lag and slowdown as well. A reboot fixes it, but I'm convinced there is still a memory management issue with marshmallow. It shouldn't lag at all with the 810 processor and 3gb of RAM, but for me it does.

It could be rouge app causing an issue. I barely reboot my phone. Maybe once a week if that.

Re: Headphone volume - try a pair of lower impedance headphones.

If you know the brand and model of your current headphones, check the specs in the manual (if you have it) or the manufacturer's website to determine the impedance. My guess is that you have ~32 ohm headphones.

Test with a pair of 8 or 16 ohm headphones and see if that resolves the problem.

excellent advice from someone that obviously knows his audio. I too have experienced less than stellar sound quality, but will definitely look into it.

I don't really count on my phone got my audio though. I mostly listen to music when running and the phone is just to big and heavy for my taste.

Just curious to know if anyone has noticed this or this one is the only one to do it. Tap the screen kinda hard with one finger towards the top by the speaker area . Mine sounds like something is loose
