The battery life for this phone is completely outstanding I've been streaming YouTube and twitch and on and off screen time (mostly on) playing games and browsing, while streaming and the battery still seems to only be at 63% idk about you but I would never get this on my nexus 5

As much as I loved my Nexus 5 the battery life was horrible... The 6 was a lot better and so far the 6p is pretty amazing.... Doze is awesome... I had 6.0 on my Nexus 6 for nearly two weeks and the standby battery life improved a lot and it's even better on the 6p. Overall I am very impressed with the battery life and way more impressed with what they did for standby battery with Doze...

Hello guys, I just want to post my screen on time somewhere!

Got great battery life the first day with all apps installed and syncing and just using the phone as normal (6am - 11pm):



Can others post their screen on times as well? This is so much better than my nexus 6!

The Battery is absolutely insane. I'm not a heavy user of my phone, on and off here and there to answer messages, check sports, scores and browse the web. I had my phone at 100% battery life at 4:00PM Wednesday and it's at 40% right now (Friday at noon) and I haven't plugged it in once. This is absolutely incredible.

I fully charged mine before bed on Wed. night, had 3+ hours SOT yesterday and still had nearly 30% left when I woke up this AM. Less than 90 minutes on the USB-C charger that came with it this AM and I had a full charge to start the day.

I'm currently trying to figure out what is going on with my 6P, battery life isn't terrible but isn't where it should be. One major issue I noticed, just using the battery screen, is that my phone is always Awake (screen off). I'm currently working to find the culprit and may factory reset the phone, as that appears to have helped some other users.

Chrome is eating up about 5% every 15 min. It's showing as a higher usage than my screen. Does that sound right? I'm kind of disappointed in battery life right now. Wandering if the Turbo 2 would be better.

No, something definitely seems to be wrong if Chrome is using that much battery.

I'm not seeing anything remotely extreme, but based on what other people are reporting it seems I'm seeing higher idle drain than expected... ~2% an hour (rather than the ~0.25%/hour some have reported) while at work with both bluetooth and wifi disabled. Top power users appear to be cell standby and Google Play Services

This is today. I'm happy with it. I could have pushed more but charging now.

What I did was mainly take it off the charger around 1AMish and go to bed. I then woke up and came to work and streamed Google Play Music all morning / into the afternoon. Once in the afternoon I watched about ... 3 hours (ish) on Xfinity at 90%+ brightness or so. There was also some texting / calls mixed in there.

I was only on WiFi while sleeping -- the rest was all T-Mobile LTE.

No, something definitely seems to be wrong if Chrome is using that much battery.

That's what I was thinking too. I don't see the web browser anywhere near the top of the usage charts for anyone else who's posting screen shots of their battery usage. When I'm browsing I can just watch the battery drop. Doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether I'm on Wifi or 4G. I tried Dolphin browser to see if that was better and it didn't seem to be. Also for some readon Dolphin was real sluggish so I gave up on it.

It could be the mobile radio active bug. I had that 2 days ago. Chrome is the usual suspect. If the radio has been active anywhere more than 60 mins there is a problem. Unless your browsing that long. Force close the app, and that should fix it, it worked for me.

It could be the mobile radio active bug. I had that 2 days ago. Chrome is the usual suspect. If the radio has been active anywhere more than 60 mins there is a problem. Unless your browsing that long. Force close the app, and that should fix it, it worked for me.

Interesting I think I am getting this but with Gmail instead of Chrome. Tried force stopping and restarted phone. But gmail was at 11% by far the highest....I think screen was next at like 3%

I seem to have found my problem with the phone not going into sleep mode, it seems to be Gasbuddy that was keeping the phone awake. I believe it is a problem Gasbuddy has with Marshmallow, and may impact Bluetooth as well.

This was the culprit for me as well.

Turn off Bluetooth and it also solved it, so yes, it was a Bluetooth awake thing.

Thread started over on XDA about it and there was some conversation with developer.

So many apps still need to be updated.

First full day of use yesterday, off charge 6.30am and at 11.30pm after 3 hours screen time I had 49% left. Very pleased.
