I'm thinking about getting a skin (like dBrand) to protect my Nexus 6P rear camera.
Will it protect it? I do not like cases...

No more than a light jacket would protect your body from bumps & impacts.

FWIW the only time I have ever completely shattered an destroyed a phone was when I dropped it from about 2 feet onto pavement, and it had a front/rear skin that did absolutely nothing to protect it (not that I was expecting it to).

I ordered the dbrand visor skin and back skin to prevent scratches, using a case in the meantime but don't like cases. I have Nexus Protect just in case.

(video) look at this guy's phone from normal use

https://youtu.be/Pfvx_hD-sns so I thought this video was crazy because I've had a nexus 6p that had this same slight wobble but mine was waaaay less than this guy and was only noticeable if looking for it.. How common do you think this is.. Anyone else experience this?

How common do you think this slight heading ending or twisting is.. Should I return mine?

Re: (video) look at this guy's phone from normal use

Once upon a time there was something large (5" and over) but thin created called a modern smartphone. Some companies made theirs out of plastic and the people cried "But sirrah, we hate this cheap looking plastic! Please create another?" And Lo the creators heard their plea and set out to fabricate a glass backed phone. Again the people cried in unison, "Oh sirrah, this looks nicer but we hate that glass is so slippery and are afraid these fragile glass phones will break easily!"

And so again the creators heard their plea and set out to fabricate an aluminum phone which isn't as rigid as glass or as springy as plastic and the world wide interwebz was awash with bendy FUD about the iPhone, HTC One, Samsung S6 and Nexus 6p. (yep you guessed it, all those models have gone through this story)

~~~~The end
The moral of the story is that you can't do right by everyone no matter what these things are made out of. None of these fancy material phones are immune to stuff like what was linked above (and mentioned over and over again in countless other threads across numerous devices). Your solution? Either wait until the smartphone makers melt down Captain America's vibranium shield to make smartphones or return yourself to the days of plastic and/or a 4" smartphone.
Or you could do what I do knowing that this stuff slips through QC all the time no matter what brand you go with and RMA it until you get one that makes you happy. I've bought budget devices, I've bought expensive devices. In both cases I've had to RMA imperfections. Sometimes 2-3 times! With that in mind, while I happened to get a 6p that hasn't exhibited a single one of the various issues others have reported, would I RMA it if I did knowing what I know about the one I have for another 6p?
In a heartbeat.
If you let these posts and videos and articles get to you, you should really just consider not buying smartphones because you need to accept that this stuff happens no matter how many times you pump your fist in the air and yell "dammit I refuse to accept anything less than perfect for my hard earned money!!" because nobody's listening to mister outraged indignant consumer pants. Yeah I get it, you want quality. So do I. But this stuff will happen. It'll happen whether you buy a fancy new Sub-Zero $5000 fridge for your custom kitchen remodel or a $1000 Frigidaire. The nexus 6p is still the Sub-Zero of the smartphone world this year either way. For that matter so are a few other brands that have had this kind of FUD aimed at them.
If you still don't want to take my word for it, there are plenty of trustworthy tech media writers who feel the same way about this phone and are quite pleased with this one. I was tempted to write this as a thread all of its own but I feel that would just unnecessarily contribute to the problem rather than ease it so I'll simply add the following by-line:
author's note: copying and pasting this as my standard reply to all of these threads now
The glass cracking is probably random defects that make it through. Unfortunately it happens from time to time. As far as that video, I would't trust anything from that guy.
I have a laptop that is made with a machined aluminium chassis.... When it's on a flat surface, it has a slight wobble.
This forum is causing me mobile hypochondria... Need grains of salt
I actually took my phone out of its case, placed it on a table and tried to see if it wobbled. That's when I realized I may be overreacting to some of the posts here.
My phone isn't bent.
My headphone sound level seems normal to me.
Call quality is good.
Camera works fine.
Admittedly, my bluetooth car connection is broken but I discovered that on my own and then found the thread here which gave me hope that Google might fix it.
I'm not discounting anyone's real problems with their phone. I believe that there are issues out there.
However, I'm happy with this phone and it doesn't seem to have any significant problems so if you are reading these threads pre-purchase, there are people who have very high quality, working phones.
Since it's my first Nexus, Marshmallow is new and I'm still not 100% clear on USB-C charging, I do find this forum to be immensely helpful. I just need to remember to take the issues with a grain of salt.
:D
Haha I do the same thing, it was especially bad the first few days I had the phone. I would read threads and start freaking out thinking I might need to use the return period. But I love the phone, and haven't had any real issues so far, so I've chilled out.
