Nexus 6P camera on 7.1.1

Hi, does anyone know if the camera improvements on the pixel are included in the 7.1 beta on the Nexus 6P? It's certainly seems faster to launch and take pictures. I'm wondering how far the improvements go.

The only feature missing is the inclusion of basic white balance controls. Apart from that you get slightly faster HDR+, that nice manual exposure control and the quick grid selection right from the viewfinder.

If you care a lot about the camera there is definitely an improvement.

I actually find the video stabilization worse on 7.1.1. It just seems more janky and jittery than it was before and I find myself having to be more conscious of holding my hands still while I am walking.

We'll get some limited improvements. I think AF got tweaked a bit to improve its speed and accuracy. I have no idea what, if any, improvements were made with stabilization.. but we won't get the Pixel's slick sensor based system... 6P lacks the hardware capable.

Now, someone needs to do a deep dive test to see if there are actually any real improvements, or if its just a placebo effect...
