Nexus 6P Mapping 3rd party Camera App ( Camera FV-5) to the power button

Is there a way to get a 3rd party camera App to launch via the power button?

I want to use Camer FV-5 as my primary Camera and want to use the double tap power button to launch Camera FV-5 instead of Google stock camera.

I followed instructions and cleared defaults on the google camera
and made Camera FV-5 as default. however when ever i ush power button to quick launch it, the screen does not open Camera FV-5 it just goes back to a lock screen

This is driving me crazy.. I just want my default camera to be camera FV-5 and to open with the power button quick launch

Replace default camera app launch on lockscreen (bottom right shortcut) with third party camera app launch.

If I remember what I read in another thread, if you do the double tap after you've installed a secondary camera app, it SHOULD ask you what app you want to use for that shortcut.

I can't figure out how to change the default camera app on the 6p.

When I go into settings->apps->camera->open by default, it says that "no defaults set" and the clear defaults button is greyed out. I have several other camera apps installed and have never been prompted to make any of them the default when I open them.

Any thoughts?
