I have a UK 6P 64GB that is a few weeks old.
I put Nougat on a couple of weeks ago. No issues out with my banking app not authenticating on the device.
This morning my phone rebooted whilst sitting on the table.
I have had 6 reboots today. all with the phone sitting except one time I was in call.
I also had 2 instances of an incoming call but the phone not bringing up the dialer/locked the phone on the current screen. So I couldn't access the call.
I had to wait for the call to end. Get to the home page and look in my missed calls in the dialer. (no missed call icon in the taskbar)

Thanks in advance.

That's unfortunate. Please note that Nougat is still in preview. Meaning, it's not final software and issues like this may happen. I would suggest sending a bug report to Google if you haven't already.

Excuse my ignorance. How do I send/activate bug reports?
After reboot the phone gives no indication of a problem.

My 6p rebooted a couple times yesterday for the first time since being on the nougat preview. I've been on it since release two or three without issue. I think my problem yesterday was a bad app though. I'm keeping an eye on it at any rate.

Sorry about that. Actually, I don't think you need to do anything since you are on a Developer Preview. The reports may be sent automatically when a crash happens.

As mentioned above, there may be another issue causing this (app related), so keep an eye on it. If it's too problematic consider reverting back to Marshmallow and waiting for the official release of Nougat, which is rumored to be in the coming weeks.

For perspective's sake, I am on Preview 5 (the most recent) have not experienced this problem at all. The only issue, and I'm not sure if it's even Android N related, is the app Open Camera sometimes misbehaves (stalls, locks up). With that in mind, I would guess it's an app that is causing your problem.

I've learned to look at the most recent apps I have installed, look at what apps are running in the background, and check when apps were last updated to narrow it down. I found the app called "App Checker" to be helpful as well.

Rolling back to Marshmallow is always an option but it is frustrating to have to set many things up again. I guess that's better than having a phone that is going haywire.

Been running the preview for 3 days. Only issue I've had was copy and paste disappeared for a while. It's been smooth sailing for me.

When you restart the phone there's a prompt on the Login screen that allows you to provide feedback.

I wouldn't count on whatever caused the reboot to automatically submit a problem report - you should go ahead and do that.

You can also reboot into Safe Mode to eliminate 3rd party applications from the list of potential suspects.

Okay. Relating to the dialer issue.
I noticed in notifications settings I had 1 blocked app. This turned out to be the dialer.
I assumed I had activated this in error.
Then today I get the same dialer issue. Go into settings and the dialer is blocked from notifications again!
