Every now and then my Nexus 6p downloads a remote manifest, repeatedly, 4.2kb,
I found only in download history and it's a blank file.

I also get a redirect every now and then to the Google play store for Yahtzee, and other games.

Both CM Security and Clean master anti-virus programs do not detect anything suspicious or wrong.

Thoughts?

Not knowing more about your phone and what you have installed, that sounds suspiciously like a bit of malware has dig it's way into your phone somehow. That kind of behavior is a calling card.

I'd go full force on the phone to be safe... Snag the full system image from Google and load it, doing a total wipe in the process. Some of these things dig into the system image, making them immune to a regular factory reset.

Def sounds like you have an app that is causing that. I had a music app before that would do something similar. I ended up finding out what it was, hut if you can't figure it out I recommend just performing a factory reset after backing up your data.

I won't be surprised is it's causes by CM Security. Cheetah Mobile is infamous for their shady acts.

Anything from Cheetah Mobile is malware for me. Recommend deleting those applications. Android doesn't need clean applications or anti viruses that don't do anything that they spout and contribute to decrease in performance and stability of a phone. Won't be surprised if it's coming from those applications especially since Cheetah Mobile is known for their shady business.

Yes, they beat me to it, but I as well am suspicious of CM Security and Clean Master. They lessen battery life as well (IMO).
