Nexus 6p ringtone, increasing volume level

While not specific to Nexus 6p, I'd like to know how to get a ringtone to slowly increase in volume. Is there a way to do this? I am using the Nova Launcher if that helps to know. Thanks.

Only place I've seen this feature is in some custom ROMs.

I suppose there are ringtones that start out quiet and get louder; it's certainly feasible to implement.

I use this feature for my alarm in the morning and it's such a graceful wakeup as opposed to the jarring immediate full volume. I'd think it'd work well for phone calls as well. May have to look into it some.

Exactly. If you are in a meeting or church or something... Sure it may ring, but it isn't a jolting alarm.
