Nexus 6P - Slow Charging Issue

My phone takes 6 hours to charge, it's only 5 months old, what the hell, takes about 3 hours while its off

Are you using the Huawei charger and cable? Not all USB type C cables are entirely standards-compliant. Samsung & LG are two, for example. Also, many cheap USB type C cables are non-compliant. I had a cable made by NXET that took about 4 hours to charge the phone when plugged into an LG rapid charger. I threw it away in the end. Have a look for cables that have been tested by Benson Leung. He's a Google employee who has made it his personal mission to test and rate every USB-C cable on the market.

As the user above me stated, are you using the charger/charging cable that came with your phone? If you are using a charger/cable that is different, it may interfere with the charging speed.

That being said, it could be an issue with your charger/cable, themselves. I'd recommend using another charger/cable just to see if there is a noticeable difference - it could be that your accessories are either broken or not working properly.

I know I gave you two conflicting tips in a way, but trying out different chargers if you're using the one that came with your phone is a good way to see if the issue lies with the phone accessories rather than the phone itself (ie, the battery).

I lost the original charger then got an lg charger at a phone shop, but it took some times, got some expensive & cheap cables they are still slow, recently got a belkin cable (£10) & that's slow as well, can't find the original charger for the 6p anywhere!

Try looking for the original! Check Newegg as well!
