Hi,
I have owned my 6p since late 2015 and the microphone has never worked properly. After reading on these forums that it is a common issue and should be covered by warranty I raised the RMA with Huawei two weeks ago. The service centre (SBE Global in UK) have now come back saying the warranty is void due to corrosion.
If you see in the following picture, it appears they've highlighted some spot on the EMI cover and stated they can't repair it due and I must pay nearly £15 to receive my phone back, unrepaired. Reading reviews of SBE on glassdoor and other review sites, it seems this is standard working procedures. I have never gotten the phone wet, and in fact if I did I can only imagine there would be more extensive corrosion than what they show in this picture -- if it even is corrosion.
Just looking to see if anyone else has any opinions or arguments I can make. I've raised a complaint with Huawei (I didn't purchase directly from Google) as this seems absurd.

Thanks
