Nexus 7 (2012) kitkat not working

So, there was an update for kitkat on my nexus 7, when I updated it half way through the process up updating it said "error", and there's no notification to update to kitkat, and if I go to the setting to check for an update it says "up to date" but its still 4.3, I have unlocked my boot loader and I'm rooted, btw its 32GB WiFi only 2012 nexus 7

The Kitkat update is pretty lame I must say. Nothing special IMHO.

Are you running any thing other than keeping unlocked and rooted stock? Besides that try booting into safe mode and check update that way. The last resort is factory reset
