I'm thinking about buying a Seek thermal imager to use with the tablet and/or S5, but don't know if the tablet's compatible.

Anybody know if the original (2012) Nexus 7's are equipped with USB OTG? I am having no luck finding any reference to the feature.

I've used the OTG cable on my 2012 Nexus 7 for storage stuff.

I used stick mount (the app) as my tablet is rooted.

Nexus Media Importer. It allows both import and export of files, video, audio, pictures, whatever.
Doesn't need to be rooted.
I've used it since it's inception. Works great.

I've used my USB OTG cable with a USB-to-Ethernet adapter to get a wired internet connection. Lollipop initially broke this functionality, but it works with 5.1.

No apps needed - it just works.

I had watched someone's video on that before, I thought it was a great idea to plug straight in to Ethernet :)
Need to pick up one of thoes otg-Ethernet myself, or just make one ;)
