Nexus 7 2012 will not turn on

[AC Question]

Ok, I have replaced the charging port for the Nexus, thinking it is not getting an adequate charge, and have re-installed brand new battery, and have charged it for more than 24 hours. I have held the button in for 1-2-3 minutes and nothing. No little battery charger pops up, or swirling colors, just a black screen. What is wrong with it now?

A remote diagnosis is hardly possible alas, but I'll request a move to the Nexus 7 2012 forum, where other users may have suggestions.
