Nexus 7 (2013) headphone jack problem

When I plug in any speakers or headphones in my Nexus 7 (2013), only the left channel works fine but the right channel won't have any sound unless if I hold the headphone jack. Do you guys know how to solve this?

Welcome to Android Central! Could be the jack or your headphone's plug. First, have you tried any other headphones? If they're fine, then the problem is probably with the first headphone's plug. If all headphones have the same problem, then I'd focus on the jack. Make sure there isn't any debris in the jack by using a damp toothpick to root around, or a can of compressed air to blow it out. If that still doesn't work, then you may need to send it in for repair, if the jack is messed up.

Sounds like lint or other debris is in the headphone jack area. B.Diddly's advice has worked for me when I had this problem with my phone.

Hey bro, grab a can of compressed air, place it very close to, but not inside of the headphone jack and press the canister button for about 5 seconds. The goal is to remove the dust, lint or whatever is gunking up the connection. Werked for me!
