Hi,
I am having an issue with the connection of Nexus 7 (2013) to Windows 10 laptop. The device is not being recognised by the computer at all when connected via MicroUSB, on initial connection and when searching through the Device Manager. There is also no notification on the Nexus 7 pull down bar itself when connected. However, the device is charging when this connection is made, which to me would suggest it is not an issue with the MicroUSB port on the tablet.
I have tried using several MicroUSB cables and this issue persists. These cables have been used to connect a Nexus 5 to the Windows 10 laptop with success (device recognised on initial connection and shown within the Device Manager). So I do not believe this could be a cable issue.
I have also performed the following on advice from researching this issue:
Tried with USB Debugging both On and Off
Tried with MTP
Tried with PTP
Wiped cache partition
Downloaded the Google USB drivers
Downloaded Android SDK Manager to install Google USB drivers
However, there has been no success and the tablet does not appear to be connecting at all to the Windows 10 laptop.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue.
Many thanks.
