Nexus 7 2013 security updates?

So are we no longer going to be getting security updates? I am on August patch level and we're just about into October. I can understand not getting Nougat but security updates?

We 'should' continue to receive monthly Security updates; with that said, my Nexus 7 (2013) is also still on the August security patch.

I just realized this too.

Quit often the LTE variant that I have lagged behind in updates and betas too.

I read somewhere else updates are done. It's past the three year update window and it was lucky to get M. Oh well.

The Google support site says 'at least 3 years' (referring to Security patch level updates) - it doesn't state what the maximum is. You could certainly be right that no further Security updates will be forthcoming; guess we'll have to wait and see.

For some reason my N7 2013 LTE has not received anything since July for updates. Is this common or am I doing something wrong to not receive them?

Same here. Right wrong or indifferent, it pisses me off. There is no replacement for this tablet and mine works flawless. I'm sad.

I know we are past the 3 years forward this device but you know what? It is a smoother experience and has better memory management compared to my Nexus 5X.

For those familiar with unlocking bootloader and rooting there is an excellent 7.1.1 ROM with current security patches on XDA forums
