Nexus 7 2016! Yes please!

That's what we need... Google knows that not everyone is able to buy a $500 tablet and we need a low end Nexus tablet. I would love to see the Nexus 7 with Android N pre-installed.

What I want:

  • 7" 1440p AMOLED display
  • Snapdragon 820
  • USB Type C with Quick Charge 3.0
  • wireless charging
  • 128GB storage option
  • beefy battery

I'd be willing to pay $499 for the 128GB WiFi option.

$299 for the 32GB
$399 for the 64GB
$499 for the 128GB

Nexus tablets would sell like friggen hotcakes and put a real dent in iPad.

What i would like to see is a Nexus 8. I have the N7 2013 model and it is just too small for web browsing.

What i would like to see is a payment plan from google. Not everyone can pony up the cash all at once. If Samsung starts selling their phones unlocked, and on payment plans, google could be in for trouble.:p

I like where you are going with this. Maybe just throw in a pair of front facing speakers too.

But I can't see that pricing model working. Maybe a $50 jump to 64GB and then a $100 jump to 128GB. Making them $299, $349, and $449 respectfully. Although honestly I would love to see them sell just one model with like 64GB of storage and an SD card slot since it's now supported natively. Plus flash memory is getting so cheap it feels crazy to pay $100 for an extra 32GB of storage, especially when I can get a 32GB micro SD card for about $10. And those prices are only going to keep falling.

With phones really big these days, I'd want a tablet with a larger screen size. Something around the 12" mark with a keyboard attachment.

I'd like to see Google really push for a productivity device/hybrid thing, similar to what Apple and Microsoft are doing. I'd love to have a stock nexus tablet that big.

When I first saw the news, I was really excited for this. I have the 2012 N7 and I've loved the thing, even with the issues that it's had through the last few years.

If this is legit, my choice for next small tablet will be it or the Nvidia Shield K1.

Really hoping this happens. For all the choice android provides the 7-8 inch tablet options with good screens and decent specs is severely limited.
