Nexus 7 after side loading 4.4

I did a side load of Kitkat 4.4 on my stock nexus 7 and everything seems to be working fine except for the camera app, when you launch the camera it opens and seems fine you can even snap a simple pic, but if you try and change a setting or switch to font facing camera the app freezes and then force closes. I have cleared the cache and data for the app and made no difference, I also tried another camera app from the play store (don't remember the name of it now) and it acted the same. Has anyone who has 4.4 on their Nexus 7 2013 had any problems with the camera after either side loading or got 4.4 OTA.

Also sideloaded on stock N7 and I don't see any camera issues.

Interesting, I wonder if I should do another sideload of 4.4 and see what happens or if I just bite the bullet and flash with 4.4 factory image now that's it's available.

Did the factory image of 4.4 and all is working well now with the camera app.
