Nexus 7 arrived today, but has a faulty screen

Ordered my Nexus 7 16Gb from Google Play a few weeks back, I live in the UK so probably one of the first to receive one.

Got it this morning, all looked good. However, when I opened it up I noticed the glass screen is not stuck down on the left hand side by about 2 mm, and it can be pushed down to the main body.

Have been on the support line to Google for around 20 mins, but they are experiencing 'high call volumes', I wonder if others in the UK have had a similar issue?

Have emailed them direct, but no answer yet, will try again a bit later, but at 12p per minute will end up paying nearly as much as the Tablet to get an answer!

Disappointed (so far!), really like the idea of Jelly Bean, as I am a MAC user (not iPad), and wanted to give these Tablets a chance :'(

Any one else with these faults?

Yep got mine yesterday and had the same issue ... it seems to be a production issue. They're sending me a new one and a box to ship the old one back. The rep said he's had a few calls about the same problem.

yes m8 i am in belfast ,got it 2 weeks ago ,i noticed the back cover wasnt pushed on correctly it came of down one side ,i had to push it back on all round ,now i find its hard to turn on ,a poor on off button design ,mine too is a 16gb,i cant get through to anyone ,if this on off issue keeps going on ill go to computer active, they gave it 5 stars ,but that is when its ok ,they may NOW be aware of the back panel issues check out utube full of bad reports issues etc

hi there the back of my nexus7 wasnt on properly and came off dow the right hand side i had to push it on myself ,also i find the on/ff button dosnt work all the time ,probley the back issue ,have you a contact for the rep
