nexus 7 Cracked!!!

Hi all...

Soooooo the other night i stupidly left my nexus 7 on the floor next to the bed and as my boyfriend was getting into bed he stepped on it and cracked the screen (was told it had the strongest glass in the world).So now im left with no tablet and going insane and now the shop that i purchased it from is saying that its not claimed under warrenty even tho i paid extra $$ for this warrenty and was told that even accidental damages would be covered *sigh*... So now Im left wondering if there is some way i can buy a replacement screen for it.. I know they can do it with iPhones and my dad replaced his samsung screen by himself.. Any info would be great!!!

First of all, it does not have the strongest glass in the world. It's just fortified glass. And whenever you buy extra warranty you should read the fine print. Doesn't matter what someone says something will be covered you have to read the fine print. And yes there is a way to replace the screen, either google it or look for it on ebay. And just because someone can replace a screen on one device does not mean you can replace screens on ALL devices. Just an FYI.

And if you did basic research on the internet you would find all your information that you would need.
For example:

So next time do research and read the fine print and don't believe all the words someone tells you. Hope that helps.

If you get it fixed or buy another tablet make sure:
A) Don't leave it on the floor.
B) Boyfriend losses weight.

That stinks. The first thing I would do is read the warranty paperwork and make sure the shop is right. They might be trying to avoid their responsibilities or might just be mistaken. If they're right, and the warranty doesn't cover damage, you can replace the screen yourself or pay a professional. There are DIY fix guides online if you decide to go that way. Good luck.
